ASSIGNMENT 2

VIRTUAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

 
 
 
 

Task:
In a group of 5 people, we were tasked with coming up with an art and design practice program or campaign that would promote and provide guidelines on how creatives can utilize online platforms as the medium of exposure to advertise and promote their works/products. We also had to work with one organizational body either local or international.

To start the assignment, we began with the EMPATHY part. We split the task between each of us to figure out the main issues the art and design community are facing, target audiences, focus of topic, implications as well as a case study. To complete this part of the assignment, we also picked an NGO to work with that was Cendana.

Moving onto the DEFINE stage, we again had to split tasks among us to figure 6 main things:

  1. Problem Statement

  2. Aims & Objectives

  3. Solutions

  4. Benefit/Importance of the awareness

  5. SWOT Analysis (Virtual Campaign)

  6. Target/ Perimeter (chosen Organization & related)

Thirdly, for the IDEATION stage, we needed to come up with actual ideas of what we can possibly do for the program. We actually came up with really good ideas that could be carried out online and virtually.
These included an online art festival, a virtual flea market and a virtual street art tour.

For this idea we actually collaborated with another group in our tutorial section to mutually help each other in promoting our campaigns.

For the PROTOYPE stage, we were to develop and test in detail the finalized idea for our campaign/program, the execution of the online platform and the strategies to reach out to the target audiences including the use of influencers, social media, as well as coming up with a poster to advertise the event.

Finally, for the PRESENT part, we visualized how the promotional posts and strategies as well as the sign up forms will look like for the actual event. We also illustrated it on various platforms and devices.

Reflection
 

This was the second assignment for CCTS but the first one that we had to work in a group. Honestly, it was awkward at first because not all of us were familiar with each other but progressively throughout the entire process I think all of us became closer. Although we had to work as a team in the end, tasks were still divided among us. So we had to carry out our individual research and tasks. Even though half the time we were honestly quite clueless what we were supposed to do, we eventually worked together to understand what we were supposed to do together and come up with ideas together collaboratively/
