Our task was to develop a Neighbourhood Park Plan, proposing an overall theme and reorganizing the site to include the Neighbourhood Learning Centre and Learning Pods. The plan considered the community's needs, integrated with the surroundings, provided pedestrian and disabled access, and incorporated environmental and sustainable strategies. We conducted a site visit to USJ14 Park to analyze its tangible and intangible qualities and understand the community's needs. Our class was divided into five task groups: Site Drawing, Social Content, Natural & Man-Made Features, Circulation & Access, and Site Atmosphere & Character. Each group collected data through sketches, diagrams, photography, videography, audio recordings, secondary site data, and interviews. We used SWOT analysis to identify the site's potential and frame our design narratives and then developed a master plan of the new park.
