ASSIGNMENT 1
POETIC JOURNEY STRUCTURE
Task:​

In a group of 8, romanticize Malay Kampung, create narrative journeys, and design concentric and linear poetic journey structures.

Each student conducts two precedent studies.

Understand modifying elements and use them to create poetic structures.
-
Grasp concentric and linear layout characteristics.
-
Propose two structures with models, video, and presentation boards.
For my precedent studies on poetic architecture, I did my study on the Lotus Temple and Royal Ontario Museum
After researching on Malay Kampung - its architecture, traditions, cultures and what makes a Malay Kampung, we came up with a narrative based on the celebration of a new life - a Majlis Aqiqah
Then based on these 6 stages, we translated the emotions and feelings into architectural spaces for two structures - one concentric one linear.
